This 5-hour training is an in depth look at working with transgender clients. The training covers terms, gender identity and gender expression, an introduction to hormones and letter writing. It now includes an overview of WPATH SOC 8 treatment recommendations. It explores how gender dysphoria interacts with co-occurring conditions as well as teaches three clinical modalities to work with clients with gender dysphoria including solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindful self-compassion. This course is approved for 5 core hours of CEUs by the UGA School of Social Work for LCSW's, LPC's, LMFT's and counts as related hours for psychologists.
